     In tandem with the international development of information and communication technology, and the increase in the demand for the use of this technology, electronic banking services deemed to be a necessity.

     One of the important factors in the competitive market is to enjoy the capability of competitiveness, indicating better performance of an organization in comparison with its competitors, while ensuring organization's profitability in short-term period and its maintenance and growth in long-term horizon.

     In the age of technology, in which the world faces the growth in the process of electronic banking, the importance of competitiveness becomes more evident. Enjoying the capability of competitiveness in marketing will result in the increase and maintenance of the organization's market share, leading to achieve market's leadership, through extending modern, innovative banking services. While the information technology and electronic banking have been developed, clients' expectations from banking network have also been increased, and they expect to receive banking services in high quality at the faster rate, enabling them to receive the information on their banking operations.

     In these days, most people use mobile phone and in near future, every person is expected to have his/her own mobile number, by which he/she can do most of his/her daily activities. Sending and receiving information in the form of SMS have some advantages, such as the possibility of transferring information at the faster rate and lower cost and also the ease for personal usage.

     One of the most important expectations of the clients is to be aware of the states of their accounts at the faster rate and lower cost; therefore, one of the Bank's fundamental requirements is to provide systems, in the form of data transactions by mobile phone, through which Bank's clients can meet their requirements, without having to recourse to Bank's branches. Considering the above and in tandem with the guidance of Bank's top management on extending better services to the clients, Bank's Informatics Department implements S.O.D. system as one of the electronic banking instruments.  

     S.O.D. or SMS On Demand is a system by which Bank's clients can receive their required information on the state of their account by sending their account number, PIN Code and their type of request through their mobile phones. It is also possible for the Bank's clients to activate or deactivate the said service on their mobile phones. The followings are the types of requests the clients can receive out of this system:
 


* The last balance of the account

* The last three turnovers of the account

* The state of the specific cheque

* The possibility of changing PIN Code

* Automatic announcement of any change in the balance of Mobile-Account

* The possibility of sending statements through fax

* The possibility of sending statements through e-mail

* The system help
 


Meantime, high speed and great care in providing responses round the clock without being necessary to make the telephone line busy, are among the advantages of the said system. Considering the above, it can be inferred that extending the services of S.O.D. can increase clients' satisfaction, while saving time and energy of the staff and management. Therefore, by applying these facilities effectively, the Bank can be led towards its supreme objectives.


How to use S.O.D. System

In order to use S.O.D. services, first you are required to send your message of request by SMS to the central system of S.O.D., following the instruction, presented herein under:

* Open the folder of new message in your mobile phone and enter the number of 300066 or 09121403360

* Enter your account number (Mobile-Account), your PIN Code and the code of the type of request

In order to separate account number, PIN Code and the code of request, you should use the sign of (*) or leave a space from left to right as follows:

Codes of request are as follows:

b: Sending the last balance of your account

t: Sending the last three turnovers of your account

h: System Help (without being necessary to enter the account number and PIN Code)

c: The state of the specific cheque, for which the necessary information should be entered as follows:

f:
The possibility of sending statements through fax (the last 25 turnovers of your account), otherwise, you should enter your fax number after (f) as follows:

e:
The possibility of sending statements through e-mail (the last 25 turnovers of your account), otherwise, you should enter your e-mail address after (e) as follows:

p:
The possibility of changing PIN Code, by which you can change the
     PIN Code of your account as follows:

m:
Automatic announcement of any change in the balance of Mobile-
      Account. In order to deactivate this instruction, you should leave
      the space of telephone number as blank.

The format of message to activate the said service:
